Random Ideas (Reception)

I've picked up a few ideas from weddings in the past that I've liked.  The one I can think of off the top of my head has to do with the reception.  A wedding I attended during college had a bowl with the names of all the other couples who were attending the wedding up at the bride and groom's table.  Every time the bride and groom stood up to kiss with the clinking of glasses, they'd also draw the names of another couple in the room who also were to stand up and kiss.

I'll do what I can to keep a theme like this going for you.  YEA, Randomness!!

  3. Very very cute idea. And a great way to incorporate everyone in attendance!

  4. Cute idea! I like it. Like Elizabeth said, it would be fun to incorporate everyone and potentially embarrass a lot of people -- bonus! Not that I would ever do that on purpose... )

    1. Dang, I meant that to be a winky face, because I totally would. This ruins the whole joke. Shoot. This is getting awkward...

  6. Or we could do something fun like every time the bride and groom kiss for clinking glasses, everyone has to kiss a different person at his or her table ON THE MOUTH!!! It would be so classy and elegant.

On second thought, let's stay with the fishbowl idea. I do really enjoy it. : )

  7. OR! Everytime Gav and Am have to kiss, they choose a name out of a fishbowl and that person has to kiss Becky. Becky would probably need her own special chair sectioned off if we were to do this.

    1. I would actually require a throne should this plan be enacted. Just to be clear.

  8. I will start throwing out more legitimate ideas as they come.

  9. Adie, those are all completely legitimate ideas.
As for another fun idea, at one my cousin's weddings, guests had to sing a song about love ("L.O.V.E," "Bushel and a Peck," "Love in this Club," etc.) for the bride and groom to kiss. It was a lot of fun to see what songs people came up with!
...it was also much less painful than people clinking glasses with forks. :)

  10. I think singing would be so much more fun than tinkling! Thanks, Emma!
